Sophomore women's soccer player Melanie Benner scored two goals in matches against Louisiana College and the University of Texas-Brownsville.

The Seminole, FL native tallied the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Louisiana College in their first conference game of the season. She also recorded a goal in a close 2-1 loss to the University of Texas-Brownsville. With these goals, she leads the team in goals scored this season.

Benner and the Lady Choctaws will host Howard Payne on September 20th at 2:00 pm at Longabaugh Field.
