Junior forward Kristin Newsome averaged 16 points and seven rebounds over a 1-1 week for the Lady Choctaws.  Her 26 point performance against Centenary is the highest by any Lady Choctaw this season.

Newsome and the Lady Choctaws will enter the American Southwest Conference tournament as the East's #3 seed playing McMurry the #2 seed from the West.  Game time is set for 5 p.m. on Friday in Pineville, LA.
