Palmieri wrapped up three event wins during the Mississippi College Outdoor Season Opener. The Cape Town, West Cape, South Africa, native won the men's 100 meters and 200 meters during the event on Saturday. He posted a NCAA provisional mark in the 100 as he clocked a 10.49. He added a second, individual event title with a NCAA provisional time of 21.10 in the 200. The junior also anchored the 4x100 relay team that finished first as the foursome recorded a time of 41.59. He also added three U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-South Region nods. He helped reset the program's record with 43 during the 2022 season as it surpassed the previous mark of 42 set last season.
