Moriah Hurst led the MC women's basketball team in scoring as she averaged 21.0 points during the two-game stretch, including a career-high 26 points as the Lady Choctaws upset Union on Saturday, Feb. 22. The victory over the Lady Bulldogs completed a regular sweep for the Navy and Gold. Hurst started the week with a 16-point performance in an overtime loss to Delta State on Thursday, Feb. 20. She shot 63.3 percent from the field, including a clip of 37.5 from behind the arc, and was perfect from the free throw line during the two games.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 29 as it closes out the regular season in Livingston, Ala., against the University of West Alabama. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
