Senior Ja'Mori Mark has been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (September 16).

Mark (Tylertown, Miss.) made the most of his five carries against Albany State, scoring the Choctaws' first two touchdowns on runs of 26 and 4 yards. Overall, he carried the ball five times for 44 yards, scoring the pair of touchdowns, the second of which gave MC their first lead of the night.

Mark and the Choctaws will open Gulf South Conference play this Saturday when they host North Greenville at 7:00 p.m. at Robinson-Hale Stadium.
