Freshman Kaylee Foster has been named the Renasant Bank Female Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (September 9).

Foster (Ocean Springs, Miss.) led a comeback road win for the Lady Choctaws over Tampa on Sunday afternoon. Trailing 2-0 with under 13 minutes remaining, Foster found the back of the net twice in just over 20 seconds to send the match into overtime before Katie Taylor scored a Golden Goal in the 100th to give the Lady Choctaws the 3-2 victory.

Over the first two matches of the season, Foster took seven shots with the two coming on goal finding the back of the net.

The Lady Choctaws have the week off before opening their home schedule on Saturday, September 21st against former American Southwest Conference rival Texas-Tyler at 1:00 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
