Sophomore Dyllan Taylor has been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Jan. 28).

Taylor (Brandon, Miss.) scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down a career-high eight rebounds in a Saturday loss to UAH. He also put up 11 points on Thursday night against Lee University.

On the season, Taylor is averaging 10.7 points per game with a team-high 3.8 assists per contest. He has scored in double-figures in each of the last four games and in five of the last six contests.

Taylor and the Choctaws will hit the road this weekend for a pair of Gulf South Conference contests, starting on Thursday (Jan. 31) night against UAH. They will then face Lee in Cleveland, Tenn. on Saturday.
