Junior Brandon Boston has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (January 7).
Boston (Pearl, Miss.) scored a game-high 25 points, including tying a career-high with 11 made field goals in a road loss to West Georgia on Saturday afternoon. MC's top scorer with 16.3 ppg went 11-of-20 with six rebounds in the defeat.
On the season, leads the squad in scoring and rebounding (6.0 rpg) and has scored in double-figures in all but one game this season. He has put up 20 or more points in three games, including a season-high 27 against West Alabama (December 1).
Boston and the Choctaws will be back at home this weekend for a pair of conference games, hosting Valdosta State (Jan. 10) and West Florida (Jan. 12) in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
