Zariah Matthews led the Lady Choctaws in scoring this week with 12 points per game as MC posted wins over Lane College and LeMoyne-Owen College. Matthews posted 11 points against Lane and followed with 13 points against the Magicians on Saturday. Matthews shot 53.8 percent from the field, including a 33.3 clip from behind the arc, and 80 percent from the free throw line. She was second on the team in assists (6) and steals (3) for the week. Matthews is the only Lady Choctaw to score in double figures in each of the first three games this season, including a season-high in the season opener.

Mississippi College returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 20 as it hosts the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
