Senior Jill Brown has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Female Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Nov. 5).

Brown (Elkhart, Ind.) wrapped up her two-year career in Clinton with a pair of home matches last weekend, including sweeping West Georgia on Friday night. She posted 26 digs with five assists over the two matches.

On the season, Brown led the team and ranked 3rd in the Gulf South Conference with 519 digs, averaging 4.47 digs per set. She also tallied 84 assists and tied for second on the team with 27 service aces.

Brown and the Lady Choctaws closed out the 2018 season with an 8-24 record, seeing 11 freshman on the squad in Coach Shawn Laurendine's first season at the helm.
