Senior Otis Harvey has been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday (Jan. 16).
Harvey (Gulfport, Miss.) went 4-of-9 from the three-point line, scoring 12 points in a loss to Montevallo on Monday night in Clinton. His three-pointer with 31 seconds remaining capped a 7-0 run and tied the game at 60-60.
On the season, Harvey leads the team by shooting 40% from the three-point line, going 21-of-53 from long range. He is averaging 5.7 points per contest.
Harvey and the Choctaws are on the road this week, heading to Rome, Ga. on Thursday night to face Shorter at 7:00 p.m. (Central).
