McDonald (New Orleans, La.) led the charge for an MC defense that did not allow a goal in Gulf South Conference action over this past weekend. The Lady Choctaws knocked off #5 West Florida 1-0 on Friday, Sept. 22 and Valdosta State 1-0 behind solid performances for McDonald in goal.

McDonald (4-1-1) recorded 13 saves over the two game-slate, including a season-high seven against Valdosta State on Sunday. The junior keeper currently leads the Gulf South Conference in fewest goals allowed (1), goals against average (.16), save percentage (.964) and shutouts (5).

The Lady Choctaws will resume play in Gulf South Conference action on Friday, Sept. 29 when they host Christian Brothers University.
