Mississippi College junior catcher #Sarah Smaltz# batted 11-for-19 with four home runs, a double and nine RBIs to fuel a 6-0 week that included a doubleheader sweep of nationally-ranked Louisiana College.  Smaltz also scored eight runs and had a sacrifice fly.  She had at least one hit in every game.

The Houston, TX native was also named American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week after her efforts for the games of April 5-9.

Smaltz and the Lady Choctaws return to action as they face Texas-Dallas in a four-game series with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. on Friday.
