Zack Ingram

Zack Ingram returned to his alma mater in the summer of 2024 as he joined the coaching staff.

Ingram played four seasons at Mississippi College, where he helped lead the Choctaw to their first-ever Gulf South Conference Tournament title in 2018. During his time in the Blue and Gold, he was a two-time All-GSC honoree. He compiled a 16-10 record along with a save during his career. The 16 victories stand eighth in program history. His 41 career starts are second in program history while his 174 strikeouts and 230.2 innings pitched are fifth among career leaders. He is ninth in career appearances. Off the diamond, the right-handed hurler was a three-time GSC Academic Honor Roll selection.

The Vestavia Hills, Ala., native spent the 2024 season at the University of Dayton as the pitching coach. The FlyBoys posted a 33-22 mark, including a 14-9 mark in the Atlantic 10 Conference, which landed a three seed in the conference tournament. UD topped the University of Massachusetts in the opening round before it dropped the next two contests.  
 
The Red and Blue posted a 6.10 earned run average as a squad, which was fifth best in the league. The Flyers’ staff totaled 463 strikeouts, which was fourth in the conference, over 481.1 innings. The unit totaled 12 saves and notched one shutout.
 
Prior to his venture into the A-10, Ingram spent the 2023 season at Birmingham Southern College, helping the Panthers to a 39-11 record on the season. As the volunteer assistant and pitching coach, Ingram helped BSC to one of the top teams in NCAA Division III, as three pitchers were named to the All-Region team and four to the All-Southern Athletic Association team. Included in the honorees was the SAA Pitcher of the Year and second-team All-American Hansen McCown.
