Baseball Earns 2025 Gulf South Conference Tournament Bid

First GSC Tournament Appearance Since 2019; 10th in Program History

CLINTON, Miss. — The Mississippi College baseball team has officially punched its ticket to the 2025 Gulf South Conference Tournament, marking the program's first appearance in the conference postseason since 2019 and the 10th in school history.

The 27 victories this season are the most since 2019 – when the Choctaws garnered 28. It is the fifth 20-plus win season under head coach Jeremy Haworth, who is in his 10th at the helm of the program.

The Blue and Gold's return to the tournament carries historical significance. The Choctaws won the GSC Tournament Championship in 2018, a title that remains one of the highlights of the program's history. With their 10th all-time appearance now secured, the team aims to add another chapter to that legacy as they head into postseason play.

The 2025 GSC Tournament will take place May 2-6 in Oxford, Ala., featuring the top eight teams from the regular season battling for the conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II South Regional.

The Choctaws close out the regular season with a trip to Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday, Apr. 22 before closing conference play over the weekend at home against Delta State. The series with the Statesmen opens on Friday, Apr. 25 at 6 p.m.
