CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College senior right-hander Tyler Seaman has been named American Southwest Conference East Division Pitcher of the Week for the games of February 2-7. The Pascagoula native earned the same honor twice last season for the Choctaws.

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Mississippi College baseball team opened the 2010 season with a 5-2 victory over Huntingdon College on Saturday afternoon at Posey Field. Senior Bo Bell hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to ice the victory for the Choctaws (1-0) over the Hawks (0-1).
