PINEVILLE, LA - The Mississippi College women's basketball team will open the American Southwest Conference Tournament on Friday against Howard Payne University at 5:00 p.m. at the H.O. West Fieldhouse on the campus of Louisiana College.  Live video will be available for all seven conference tournament games.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College junior forward Jalessa Taylor has been named American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week for the games of February 15-20.  Taylor has now earned the award three times this season, which is tied for the most this season.

TYLER, TX - The Mississippi College men's and women's basketball teams will finish the 2009-10 regular season at the University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday afternoon in the Herrington Patriot Center.  The Lady Choctaws will tip-off at 1:00 p.m. while the men's games is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.  Both the men's and women's teams have already qualified for postseason play in the American Southwest Conference Tournament.  Both games will be broadcast live on ChoctawVision beginning at 12:45 p.m.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College Lady Choctaws (18-5, 13-5 ASC) dominated East Texas Baptist University (11-12, 9-9 ASC) 62-37 Saturday in A. E. Wood Coliseum. The Lady Tigers hung close early and trailed 35-28 with 16:18 remaining, but the Lady Choctaws outscored them 27-9 the rest of the way.
