CLINTON, Miss. --- Juniors Stacey Mack and Shuntavia Rodgers have been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Athletes of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Jan. 30).

Mack (McComb, Miss.) tallied 36 points for the Choctaws over the weekend; scoring a team-high 15 points against North Alabama on Thursday and 21 points versus Alabama Huntsville on Saturday, also a team high. Saturday's game marked the second time this season Mack has recorded 20-plus points.

Mack has now scored double-digit points for MC in nine straight games. The McComb, Miss. native totaled in team-high in rebounds in both contests, with nine against North Alabama and six against Alabama Huntsville. The junior forward also distributed a season-high four assists in the 95-79 setback versus Alabama Huntsville.

Rodgers (Memphis, Tenn.) posted a career-high in Saturday's win at the University of Alabama in Huntsville as she compiled 10 points to help MC pick up its 10th win of the season. The point total surpassed her previous high of nine points in the win at Valdosta State last season.

The red-shirt sophomore was one of three Lady Choctaws in double figures in the contest as the Navy and Gold clinched a season sweep over the Chargers. Rodgers shot 33.3 percent from the field for the weekend and averaged 7.5 points per game.

The Choctaws and Lady Choctaws will be back in action later this week, when they host Valdosta State on Thursday and West Florida on Saturday.
