SAINT LEO, Fla. --- The Mississippi College women's cross country team finished 11th at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships at Saint Leo University's Abbey Course. The Lady Choctaws picked up 262 points and posted an average time of 24:30.

Kaleigh Akers was named to the NCAA Division II All-South Region team as she finished 24th in the 6K race. The Daphne, Ala., native posted a time of 23:38.80 in the race to help her earn Academic All-American accolades.

Hannah Chamberlain finished 52nd for the Navy and Gold with a time of 24:39.73 while
Rachel Smith was 57th with a 24:42.41.
Baylee Webb added a 64th place finish with a time of 24:50.08.

Abbie Easter finished 73rd with a time of 25:10.86 while
Keyana Boyd was 91st with a 26:14.86.
Madeline Sawaya rounded out the Lady Choctaws with a time of 27:13.46 in 109th.

Colett Rampf of Saint Leo was the top individual finisher with a time of 21:54.58 followed by Camryn Rickenbach of Palm Beach Atlantic in second and Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras' Ashley Jimenez Sanchez in third.

Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras was the top team. Saint Leo placed second while Lee University was third.
