Ivy Price finished just behind Cooper with an eighth place finish and a time of 16:32.  Rounding out the other MC runners who competed were Amanda Barstow (19th), Amber Griffis (20th), Bethany Kuh (24th), Taylor Masson (26th), Roxanne Pope (31st), Emily Bordenave (38th), and Amanda Izzard (70th).

"We did well for the first meet of the year," Coach Ard commented.  "We have only been working out for a couple of weeks, so this gives us a good starting point.  McMurry and Texas-Tyler have strong teams this year, so we have to get in race shape as quickly as we can, to be competitive for our conference meet."

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on September 11th at the University of Texas at Tyler.
