Chris Brooks Steps Down as Sports Information Director
Chris Brooks
CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College Sports Information Director Chris Brooks has stepped down following the 2009-10 athletics season.  Brooks spent eight seasons as the full-time SID after working for three years as the graduate assistant.

"I always felt fortunate to work at an institution like Mississippi College and invest in the lives of young people", said Brooks. "It was a rare opportunity to work with such quality people and friends, and I am grateful. I'm anxious to see athletics at MC continue to grow under their leadership, and continue to positively influence the lives of student-athletes."

Under Chris' direction the sports information department took large steps forward providing a new website for all Choctaw fans as well as live video for all home football and basketball games.

Over the past four years, Brooks produced a media guide for eight different sports as well as being the chief photographer for all athletic events.

In Chris' time as the SID at MC, countless student-athletes have earned All-ASC and All-American honors due to the publicity he provided.

With the departure of Chris, David Nichols has taken over as the SID after spending four years as an assistant in the department.
