CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Mississippi College basketball player Eric Davis along with other collegiate players, have wrapped up their trip to China with Sports Reach. The players competed in five games against several college teams as well as a Pro B teams, with a record of 4-1.
Eric is from Starkville, MS where he attended West Union High School.
In addition to the five games, the Sports Reach team used the platform of sport to connect with the athletes and share their ministry. The cultural exchange trip was made up of eight current or former college players and was coached by former University of Kentucky star, Kyle Macy, who made his third trip with Reach USA. The squad consisted of Davis along with current college players Zach Newton (Tennessee Tech), Jordan Myers (So. Illinois), and former college players Tyrell Ware (Virginia Intermont), Brandon Snowden (Berea) and Chris Early (Transylvania).
Davis, a rising junior member of the Choctaws, now travels to Ft. Collins, CO to participate in The Colorado Project. This is a summer ministry program of Athletes in Action. He has travelled the past two years with teams from AIA to Central America and Israel.
Sports Reach is a Christian Sports Ministry that was founded in 1986 by former Kentucky star Larry Pursiful and Robby Speer. This ministry uses sports to share Christ around the world.
