D3 Senior Classic 2010 Preseason All-American Team
CLINTON, MS - Senior running back
Steven Knight has been selected as a preseason First Team All-American by the D3 Senior Classic selection committee. The D3 Senior Classic is the premier post season all-star game showcasing the talent of senior players on the NCAA Division III football level. The game is held annually in December at Salem Stadium in Salem, Virginia.
The former Hinds CC and Pearl High standout rushed for 1,333 yards and 11 touchdowns on 263 carries in 2009. Knight also finished fifth on the team with 22 catches for 178 yards and three scores. The senior rushed for 100 yards in eight of his nine contests last season going over 200 yards against Howard Payne and Texas Lutheran.
Knight and the Choctaws open the 2010 season on September 4th in the annual "Backyard Brawl" against Millsaps at 7:00 p.m. in Jackson.
