CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College track team hosted the MC Twilight Invitational this weekend with several Choctaws posting national qualifying results. Senior T. J. Pride scored a victory in the men's pole vault with a jump of 4.80 meters, provisionally qualifying him for the NCAA DIII outdoor championships. Deoante' Rivers also had a provisional mark in the Long Jump, finishing second in 7.04 meters.

Shane Brogdon, Hunter Boykin, and Zak Prevost also had great days to lead the Choctaws to the team championship in their home meet. Shane won the 800m in 1:56.23, followed closely by Hunter in 1:57.97. Prevost also added points by winning the 1500m run in 4:15.

ASC Winter/Spring All-Academic Teams
CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College had 43 student athletes recognized on the 2010-11 Winter/Spring All-Academic honor roll.  The teams were announced by the ASC office on Friday (June 3) and include the sports of basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, softball, and track & field.

ABILENE, TX - Liz Laubenberg defended her 100m Hurdle and 400m Hurdle titles at the ASC Track and Field Championships.  Her times of 15.01 and 1:03.84 respectively were her best of the season.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the American Southwest Conference Track and Field Championships beginning Friday at McMurry University.  Field events begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with track events starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
