Choctaws Sit in Fourth After Day One at MC/LC Invite

MC/LC Day One Results
DELHI, LA - The Mississippi College golf team is sitting in fourth place at the MC/LC Invitational at Black Bear Golf Course. As a team, MC shot a 329, which is 22 shots behind tournament-leader Texas-Tyler.

Freshman Jack Gordy led the way with a round of 79, which has him tied for ninth individually. Juniors Elliott Bingham and Ryan Ratcliff each shot an 82, while senior Joel Richardson and freshman Joseph Henderson recorded an 86.

Day Two of the tournament is scheduled to tee off on Tuesday morning.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College senior golfer Elliott Bingham finished the 2011 season with the top scoring average of all players in the American Southwest Conference with a final tally of 75.1 per round. Bingham is the first Choctaw to ever lead the conference in scoring average.
