Taylor Earns Third ASC East Player of the Week Honor

ASC Women's Basketball Players of the Week
CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College junior forward Jalessa Taylor has been named American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week for the games of February 15-20. Taylor has now earned the award three times this season, which is tied for the most this season.

Jalessa averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in two conference games. Taylor scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in the 71-65 win over Texas-Tyler on Saturday.

Taylor and the Lady Choctaws will compete in the American Southwest Conference Tournament beginning on Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Howard Payne in Pineville, LA.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College basketball teams will wrap the "Make a Change in 14 Days" campaign with a "Play it Pink" doubleheader on Saturday afternoon against the University of Texas at Tyler. The Lady Choctaws will face Texas-Tyler at 1:00 p.m. with the men to play in the "Golden Dome" at 3:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted to support the fight against breast cancer and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the two games.
