DePauw Invitational Results
GREENCASTLE, IN - The Mississippi College men's track team finished 7th in team competition on Saturday in the Depauw Invitational.

The Choctaws were led by senior Deoante' Rivers.  Rivers helped lead the MC 4x200m relay team to a first place finish, and he also won the 200m dash.  A pair of freshmen also added to the Choctaw success on the day.  Kevin Oliver finished second in the 400m, and fourth in the 200m, and also ran on the 4x200m relay.  Shane Brogdon took third place honors in the 1 mile run.  Sophomore transfer Reggie McMiller also scored with a third place finish in the 55m Hurdles.

"The guys did a great job.  We had to leave for the meet on Thursday instead of Friday to get out ahead of the snow coming through our area.  Leaving early kept several of the guys on the team from being able to go, and having to scratch them from the meet probably cost us a second place team finish.  Deoante' and Kevin did a great job of leading this team at the meet.  We counted on both of them to score lots of points and they did.  Having to leave people at home probably cost us thirty to thirty five points in the meet, so I am proud of the guys that did get to go and help us place as high as we did as a team."
