CLINTON, MS - Former Mississippi College Choctaws Nathan Stewart and Brett Hinson were part of the Alexandria Aces baseball team that won the Continental Baseball League Championship with a 7-3 victory over the Big Bend Cowboys on Saturday at Bringhurst Field.

Stewart, a 2008 alumnus, went 4-0 with a 2.87 ERA in 25 appearances, including one start.  The Brandon, MS native struck out 31 batters in 31.1 innings pitched.  Stewart closed out the first game of the CBL Championship series with a perfect inning of work.

Hinson, a 2009 alumnus, joined the team in the middle of the season and finished 1-1 with a 5.93 ERA in 11 appearances.  The Vidalia, LA native struck out 17 in 13.2 innings pitched.
