CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College second baseman Tim Bruss, starting pitcher Tyler Seaman and left fielder Bo Bell have all been selected as All-ASC First Team players this year in a vote of league coaches. The Mississippi College coaching staff was named the ASC Staff of the Year and starting pitcher Brett Hinson earned All-ASC Second Team honors. Seaman also was tabbed the ASC East Division Newcomer of the Year.

As a team, the Choctaws compiled a 30-16 record this season that resulted in an American Southwest Conference East Division Championship and the opportunity to host the ASC Championship Tournament.

A total of eight Choctaws earned All-ASC honors with four players earning All-ASC Honorable Mention status. First baseman Andy Smith, shortstop Dakota Bodree, and outfielders Brannon Walls and Chase Herrin were All-ASC Honorable Mention selections.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College baseball team will look to get back to the top of the American Southwest Conference as they head into the 2012 season.  The Choctaws open the year on Friday when they head to Montgomery, AL to face Huntingdon College in a two-game series.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College had 43 student athletes recognized on the 2010-11 Winter/Spring All-Academic honor roll.  The teams were announced by the ASC office on Friday (June 3) and include the sports of basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, softball, and track & field.
