Renard Ellis
CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College senior tight end Renard Ellis has been selected as a First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. Renard is the second AFCA All-American in three years for the Choctaws with Jake Allen also earning distinction as a wide receiver in 2007.

The Winter Haven, FL native ranked among the nation's best tight ends with 58 receptions for 748 yards and eight touchdowns. Ellis' 58 catches ranked third in the American Southwest Conference, he ranked third in receiving yards and also third in touchdown receptions.

Ellis was an All-ASC First Team selection and recently was an All-Region Second Team selection by D3football.com.
