Austin Divinity was named American Southwest Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the games of November 7th. After a 49-27 over Sul Ross State on Saturday, Divinity and the Choctaws are one win away from the Division III playoffs.
The Hinds Community College transfer took back the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown to set the tone for the victory over the Lobos. Divinity totaled 129 yards on two kick returns as the score was just the third on a kick return this season in the ASC.
The Choctaws will host Texas Lutheran on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Robinson-Hale Stadium for Senior Day. With a win, the Choctaws will clinch a share of the ASC Title and a spot in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
