ASC Men's Soccer Tournament Begins Friday

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College men's soccer team will open the American Southwest Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. against the University of Ozarks at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX.  Live stats will be available for all matches.

The Choctaws are making their fourth consecutive trip to the ASC Tournament and sixth overall.  MC is 3-5 overall and made it to the championship game back in 2006.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be hosting the tournament after posting an 11-2 record in league play.  The Cru will receive one of the first-round byes with #2 seed Hardin-Simmons receiving the other.

The Choctaws will face the Eagles in one semifinal, while Schreiner will go up against Howard Payne on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

NOTES:
  • Admission:  $5 for adults, $3 for students/children
  • No complimentary admission passes will be accepted
  • This is the 12th year of the ASC Men's Soccer Tournament

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College Choctaws had six different student-athletes named to the American Southwest Conference Fall 2011 Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team, it was announced by the league office on Thursday (Jan. 26).

CLINTON, MS - Numerous student athletes from 16 universities and colleges have been recognized by the American Southwest Conference on its 2011 Fall All-Academic honor roll.  The teams were announced by the ASC office on Thursday (Jan. 19) and include the sports of cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College freshman Brian Vasquez and senior Ben Cross were named to the National Soccer Coach Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-Far West Team, it was announced Tuesday, December 13th.  Vasquez was a First Team selection, while Cross earned a spot on the Second Team.
