ASC Cross-Country All-Conference Teams
CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College cross country teams earned several honors in the American Southwest Conference following the championship at Choctaw Trails on Saturday.  Tino Gonzalez was named Freshman of the Year on the men's side while sophomore Jennifer Cooper was named Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.  Head Coach Butch Ard was named men's and women's Coach of the Year for the season.

Along with Gonzalez, fellow freshman Shane Brogdon was named to the All-ASC First Team.  Juniors Will Clingon and Donny Gable each took home Second Team honors.

Cooper was the lone Lady Choctaw named to the First Team.  Senior Amber Griffis and juniors Amanda Barstow and Ivy Price were named to the Second Team.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College Choctaws had six different student-athletes named to the American Southwest Conference Fall 2011 Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team, it was announced by the league office on Thursday (Jan. 26).

2011 ASC Fall All-Academic Teams
CLINTON, MS - Numerous student athletes from 16 universities and colleges have been recognized by the American Southwest Conference on its 2011 Fall All-Academic honor roll.  The teams were announced by the ASC office on Thursday (Jan. 19) and include the sports of cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball.

ASC Cross Country Championship Results
SEGUIN, TX - The Mississippi College women's cross country team finished 4th at the American Southwest Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Choctaws finished with an average time of 25:39.13 in the 6k event.
