CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College finished fourth nationally in football attendance in Division III with an average home attendance of 4,695 per game.  The Choctaws led the American Southwest Conference, which finished second nationally among Division III schools.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College football team received a final honor from the 2009 season when three Choctaw players were named as D3football.com All-Americans Saturday. Senior tight end Renard Ellis was a First Team selection, senior guard Josh Lankford a Second Team selection and senior linebacker Quartez Ashmore earned Third Team recognition.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College senior tight end Renard Ellis has been selected as a First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. Renard is the second AFCA All-American in three years for the Choctaws with Jake Allen also earning distinction as a wide receiver in 2007.

DOVER, DE - The Mississippi College Choctaws (9-3) lost 43-9 in a blowout to the Wesley College Wolverines (12-0) Saturday in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Playoffs. Wesley dominated from start to finish, building a 34-3 lead at halftime and cruised to their 12th straight win of the season.
