Wesley dominated from start to finish, building a 34-3 lead at halftime and cruised to their 12th straight win of the season.

CLINTON, MS - Mississippi College senior quarterback Adam Shaffer has been named a finalist for the 2009 Gagliardi Trophy given each year to the most outstanding Division III football player in the country. The award is sponsored by Jostens, Inc. and conducted by the J-Club of St. John's in Collegeville, Minn. This year's winner will be introduced Thursday, Dec. 17, in Salem, Virginia.

CLINTON, MS – The Mississippi College Choctaws will open the NCAA Division III Playoffs as they travel to Montgomery, AL to face the Huntingdon College Hawks on Saturday at Samford Stadium at 12:00 p.m.  Both teams come in with identical 8-2 records and will be making their first appearances in the DIII playoffs in school history.  The game will be broadcast live on ChoctawVision beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Tickets will be $10 at the gate and $5 for students.

CLINTON, MS - The Mississippi College football program was rewarded for an American Southwest Conference Championship season with several players earning All-ASC honors and individual awards today. Senior quarterback #Adam Shaffer# and senior linebacker #Quartez Ashmore# took home the Player of the Year awards on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, and Head Coach Norman Joseph was the choice for ASC Coach of the Year.
