This time a year ago, the Mississippi College equestrian team did not exist, and Meredith Guider was a 19-year-old sophomore at Virginia Intermont College. Much has changed. Guider, who grew up in Utica and is now a junior at Mississippi College in Clinton, will compete Friday in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's national competition in Los Angeles. She earned her way with first-place showings in IHSA regional and zone matches.
